Attention Teachers and Volunteers!
We are so excited to offer Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM)/ Mois de la littératie agricole Canadienne (MLAC) to you again this year, even amid changing Covid restrictions. With the ongoing upswing in Covid cases, AITC-M has made the difficult decision to forgo in-person visits BUT to offer virtual visits with a farmer or agriculture professional and provide you with our CALM 2022 classroom resources.
CALM/MLAC is a great opportunity for students to learn about where their food comes from and who grows it with a virtual classroom visit and interactive, hands-on, curriculum-based activities. This year we will have two activities and two related books in both languages for Gr 1-2, and Grade 3-6. Mid-March we will be hosting a live farm tour at a MB seed growers farm and seed cleaning plant.
