Join Our December Giving Campaign

When you give, students grow!

When you give to AITC-M, students grow their understanding of agriculture and the future it offers, and educators grow their ability to spark that learning with confidence.

This December, you can double your impact and help us reach more classrooms with free, high-quality agriculture education than ever before.

Our goal is to raise $20,000, and thanks to our generous partner, MacDon Industries, every donation you make will be matched dollar for dollar until December 31.

Why Your Support Matters

Every day, educators reach out asking for help to teach their students where food comes from, who grows it, and how agriculture sustains our province. Demand for AITC-M programs has grown faster than our resources, from 519 educators in 2020 to more than 2,500 in 2024.

We’ve reached this point because of you. Your past support helped us deliver what educators need, when they need it, earning their trust that AITC-M provides high-quality, curriculum-linked learning experiences that make a real difference for their students. That trust means more educators than ever are turning to us.

And the results speak for themselves. After participating in programs like Amazing Agriculture Adventure, students’ understanding of where food comes from jumps from 38 per cent to 88 per cent. They begin to see agriculture as a connected system, and can name real careers in production, processing, transportation, science, and innovation.

Knowledge gaps are closing. Attitudes are shifting. Curiosity is growing.

Your support ensures we never have to say “we’re full” or “we can’t get this to you in time.” It ensures every educator who signs up for resources, kits, or classroom visits receives them, free of charge.

When you give, students grow.

The Impact of Your Donation

Every dollar donated this December will go twice as far to reach more students. Here’s how your gift makes an impact:

  • $75 - Brings agriculture learning resources to one classroom of 25 students.
  • $150 - Supports two classrooms with hands-on learning materials.
  • $300 - Helps deliver a volunteer-led agriculture learning experience for up to 100 students.$500 - Supports a staff-led agriculture workshop or experience for Manitoba classrooms.
  • $2,500 - Helps send a classroom on an agriculture-focused field trip.
  • $5,000 - Helps launch or grow a school garden project, bringing real-world growing experiences to students.

With MacDon’s matching gift, every donation between December 2 and 31 is doubled, helping us reach our $20,000 goal and meet growing demand from educators.

Your Support Changes Lives

The knowledge we bring into classrooms transforms how students understand and engage with agriculture. Here’s what educators are saying:

“Thank you for having us! It was such an amazing learning experience for my grade 3 class! Very well organized and awesome volunteers! Will definitely be using the great resources for my soil and plants units and in our daily ELA and Health activities!”

Tanya Cote, Educator

“Working in a farming community, my students felt proud, ridiculously enthusiastic, and thrived while making meaningful connections to their own lives and were ecstatic to share while participating with the live events.”

Kristen McAuley, Educator, Warren Elementary School

“We used the Cultivate Your Career kit as part of an inquiry project on the 94 Calls to Action… I am very thankful for this amazing resource for my classroom. I will be using it again next year in much of my teaching.”

Candace Liebrecht, Grade 5/6 Educator

Our Growth in 2024

Through the Power of Partnership, we bridge the gap between industry and classrooms, helping students see agriculture as a world of opportunity. Our programs provide hands-on learning, introduce real career pathways, and build industry resilience by ensuring the next generation understands their impact on agriculture.

In 2024, we grew stronger than ever thanks to partners, reaching more schools, more teachers, and more students across Manitoba. By expanding our reach and deepening engagement, we are future-proofing agriculture in an uncertain world.

With your support, we’re closing the knowledge gap, inspiring future leaders, and ensuring agriculture remains
a vital part of education.
