Winnipeg, MB – Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba (AITC-M) is proud to announce the return of its flagship program, Amazing Agriculture Adventure (AAA), a multi-day, interactive experience that brings agriculture and food education to life for students across Manitoba. Thanks to the continued support of our funders, sponsors, and industry partners, AAA remains a cornerstone of our mission to connect youth with the vital role agriculture plays in their lives, communities, and careers.
Each year, AAA reaches hundreds of Grade 2 - 6 students through hands-on, curriculum-linked learning at stations led by farmers, agronomists, researchers, and agri-food professionals. But AAA goes beyond the elementary experience.

Workforce Development Day: Preparing Tomorrow’s Agri-Food Leaders
On Friday, AAA shifts focus to high school students for our Workforce Development Day, a powerful, career-focused experience that connects teens directly with agriculture and food sector employers. Students explore real-world career pathways in trades, science, technology, business, animal care, and more, guided by those working in the field today.
“This day is an investment in Manitoba’s future workforce,” says Katharine Cherewyk, Executive Director at AITC-M. “It’s where students realize agriculture is not just farming, it’s robotics, nutrition, climate science, marketing, and everything in between. And our partners make it possible.”
Career simulations, interactive demos, and networking with professionals offer students clarity, inspiration, and connections, equipping them to make informed decisions about post-secondary education and careers in a sector that’s growing and evolving rapidly.
Powered by Industry. Fueled by Partnerships
AAA is only possible because of the incredible commitment of more than 15 partner organizations, who give not just their funding, but also their time, people, and expertise to bring agriculture to life for students. Together, these partners ensure the program remains free, accessible, and hands-on for schools across Manitoba. Their investment of resources, volunteers, and passion makes it possible for thousands of students to learn directly from the people shaping our province’s agriculture industry.
“We’re not doing this alone; our partners are with us every step of the way,” says Cherewyk. “They’re investing in rural education, workforce development, food security, and economic growth. Together, we are equipping the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers of our industry.”
From volunteer hours, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions, every partner plays a vital role in delivering quality, high-impact programming that inspires curiosity, confidence, and connection.
Why It Matters - and Why You Should Join Us
Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba is a non-profit dedicated to delivering experiential, curriculum-linked agriculture education across the province. Programs like AAA don’t just teach kids about farming, they open their eyes to the full scope of the agri-food industry and its role in health, sustainability, and innovation.
We invite new partners and sponsors to join this movement. Your support isn’t just appreciated, it’s essential. Whether you’re a local business, national corporation, producer group, or individual champion, there’s a way for you to be involved.
"We see partnership like this as collaboration, not charity", says Cherewyk. "It's our agriculture industry working together to say, 'education matters, and the future of agriculture starts here."
