How will we sustainably feed nearly 10 billion people by the year 2050?

Journey 2050 allows schools around the world to experience agriculture like it’s never been taught before. As students explore world food sustainability they are encouraged to think critically about the ripple effect on social, economic and environmental factors locally and globally.

Agricultural experts and real farm families from Kenya, India and Canada guide students through a virtual farm simulation, career avatar game and geography scavenger hunt.

Teachers can run the online program on their own. Visit the Journey 2050 website to access curriculum links, step-by-step lesson plans, animated videos, interactive games, agriculture news, answer keys and much more.

Have you already had a Journey 2050 presentation in your class?

Due to high demand for classroom presentations, we are currently giving priority to teachers who have not yet had a Journey 2050 presentation done in their classroom.

If you are a returning teacher or require multiple presentations, we may not be able to accommodate your request. However, we are pleased to offer a Professional Development (PD) session in your school, where you and your colleagues can learn how to deliver this program independently. Please contact bianca@aitc.mb.ca for more information.
