Agriculture and science come to life in this interactive, hands-on agriculture experience for Grade 4 and 5 students. Students will learn about Manitoba’s farm plants, animals, soils, weather and machinery while exploring their properties, habitats and impact on our lives. Your adventure includes a live Cookie Auction!
HOW AAA WORKS
The Amazing Agriculture Adventure takes students through 12 interactive stations. Each covers a different agriculture topic and features hands-on activities and experiences.
You’ll visit Kelburn Farm for half of the day, and Glenlea Farm for the other half of the day. We’ll be in touch by email to let you know which farm you’ll start at in the morning. Please make sure you have a bus or parent transportation available to transport students to the second farm after lunch.
OM NOM NOM!
During lunch, students take part in a cookie auction led by a professional auctioneer. Students, teachers and chaperones are expected to bring a bagged lunch. We provide the cookies and chocolate milk!
So well run, our kids had an amazing day. One of the best field trips I've ever attended.
Teacher
The kids just loved the animals, but I was surprised by the details and the vocabulary that they were able to use in their writing with regards to GRAIN afterward!
Teacher
My students were really excited that there was a real, live auctioneer doing the Cookie Auction. Great program with hands-on activities.
