Agriculture in the Classroom

Amazing Agriculture Adventure

Register for AAA Russell below

The Amazing Agriculture Adventure (AAA) is a hands-on and interactive event geared towards Grade 4 and Grade 5 science curriculum. Various activities are centered around habitats and communities, rocks, minerals and erosion, maintaining a healthy body, properties of land, changes in substances, weather, forces and simple machines.

Students move through 16 to 18 interactive stations covering a variety of agriculture topics. During lunch, students take part in a cookie auction with a professional auctioneer!

The Amazing Agriculture Adventure happens in

  • Russell -  biannually in April during even-numbered years
  • Brandon - annually in June at the Keystone Centre
  • Winnipeg - annually in September at Richardson International's Kelburn Farm and U of M Glenlea Research Station and Bruce D. Campbell's Farm and Food Discovery Centre just south of Winnipeg on Hwy 75.

"It was an informative, worthwhile day which the students and parents look forward to in Grade 5. Parents are already asking about next year! Thank you to all involved. It was great!" - Grade 5 Teacher
