Did you know that 1 in 8 jobs in the Canadian workforce are in agriculture and food? In Manitoba, it’s 1 in 4!

Agriculture and food careers span from engineering, research and processing to sales, finance and everything in between! As the world population continues to grow, the demand for skilled people to work in agriculture will grow as well.

Ready to dive into this diverse range of career opportunities in the agriculture and food industry? Experience a career fair like no other at Manitoba Ag Days on January 21 & 23, 2025!

Over a half-day, your class will embark on an AgVenture. Groups of 5-8 students and their chaperone will be given a career passport and a show floor map with the goal of completing their passport to be entered to win a prize. Sessions are available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. We suggest allowing 30 minutes on either side of your session for arrival and departure.

At the booths, employees from participating companies will be available to answer questions and lead students in a hands-on activity related to their specific field in the industry. This allows students to explore and gain a deeper understanding of each career area and the associated opportunities within the agriculture and food industry while being inspired by those who live the job every day!
