Agriculture and science come to life in this interactive, hands-on agriculture experience for Grade 4 and 5 students. Students will learn about Manitoba’s livestock industry by visiting stations highlighting Dairy, Beef, Chicken, Eggs, Pork, Bees, Canola, Veterinary, 4H & Watershed. Students will gain an understanding of how animals are cared for, how animal agriculture plays a role in their daily life and how they could one day be part of an exciting career in Agriculture.
HOW AAA WORKS
The Amazing Agriculture Adventure takes students through 10 interactive stations. Each covers a different livestock commodity/support industry and features hands-on activities and experiences.
Five stations will be in the main building at the Farm and Food Discovery Centre and the other five stations will be a short 2 min walk to the barns behind the building. We’ll be in touch by email to let you know which station you’ll start at in the morning. Please make sure your students bring a lunch, backpacks are not needed.
