Annual Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week Returns
Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba (AITC-M) launches this national, week long, hands on program that will see over 4,500 Manitoba school children learn about and celebrate agriculture in their classroom!
Winkler –Local area pulse farmer Kyle Friesen will help launch Canadian Agriculture Literacy week in Manitoba along with the Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers Bean Team celebrating the United Nations 2016 International Year of Pulses. Classrooms across Manitoba will receive books about farming, watch videos, meet with farmers and other agricultural representatives and be engaged in hands on activities to understand more about where their food comes from!
The Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week initiative is made possible through generous core funding from Farm Credit Canada.
